The bodies of the 100 dead in the 6 days war have not begun to decompose and the Lebanese are already on the streets rejoicing and decorating the streets with oversized pictures of the soon to be president.
To those I say rejoice now, for it will be short lived. Soon enough you will be (secretly) spitting on those posters you are putting up.
It did not come as a surprise to any Lebanese that the day Syria and Israel become close to constructive peace talks, the Lebanese stalemate was over.
Amazing how Lebanese memory is very selective and short. The Cedar Revolution and those who gave their lives for it have been abandoned.

150,000 dead during the 15 years war, one million Lebanese left, a mini civil war two weeks ago and now the Lebanese are rejoicing, Lebanon is definitely bi-polar.
