What they should teach in Lebanese schools !

Mama, take this badge off of me
I can't use it anymore.
It's gettin' dark, too dark for me to see
I feel like I'm knockin' on heaven's door.

Knock, knock, knockin' on heaven's door
Knock, knock, knockin' on heaven's door
Knock, knock, knockin' on heaven's door
Knock, knock, knockin' on heaven's door

Mama, put my guns in the ground
I can't shoot them anymore.
That long black cloud is comin' down
I feel like I'm knockin' on heaven's door.

Knock, knock, knockin' on heaven's door
Knock, knock, knockin' on heaven's door
Knock, knock, knockin' on heaven's door
Knock, knock, knockin' on heaven's door

Gun

How many roads must a man walk down
Before you call him a man?
Yes, 'n' how many seas must a white dove sail
Before she sleeps in the sand?
Yes, 'n' how many times must the cannon balls fly
Before they're forever banned?
The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind,
The answer is blowin' in the wind.

How many times must a man look up
Before he can see the sky?
Yes, 'n' how many ears must one man have
Before he can hear people cry?
Yes, 'n' how many deaths will it take till he knows
That too many people have died?
The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind,
The answer is blowin' in the wind.

How many years can a mountain exist
Before it's washed to the sea?
Yes, 'n' how many years can some people exist
Before they're allowed to be free?
Yes, 'n' how many times can a man turn his head,
Pretending he just doesn't see?
The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind,
The answer is blowin' in the wind.

Thank you Mr. Dylan for your words of wisdom. I just wish that there was more Lebanese kids my son's age (11) who listen to your music.
Maybe then Lebanon will be a better place.

Think twice before asking for sisterly relations with our neighbors from the north.

Below are a few examples of how the current Syrian regime dealt with Lebanon throughout the years.

And those are but a few !

Predicting Lebanon's future.

A person I hold dear to my heart painted this picture a couple of years ago.
Many times did she ask for my help in order to fill in the blank pages of the book, with no avail. Suggestions were made where by a quote from Gibran should be inserted or even Phoenicians calligraphy; we never came to an agreement. Today while updating her web page, in order to promote her art, we came across this old painting of hers.
In retrospect, I can only say that this painting was like a premonition for the uncertainty that plagued my country; from the presidential vacuum to the uncertainty of days to come.
It is now up to us, Lebanese, to fill the empty pages!

Lebanon's pimp

Even a prostitute can raise more respect than Lebanon after what I am seeing today.
Mouallem, Mouttaki,Ardogan,Kouchner,....etc the only one missing was Olmert.
Shame on all Lebanese who are today rejoicing, for they and our politicians are responsible for turning Lebanon into a "whore" and not a state.
Am I the only one appalled by the fact that those who occupied us, killed us, stole from us, are greeted by the Iztaz and "those who have won"?. Am I the only one who sees it demeaning for us to have them assist and bless this appointment (sorry election). Am I the only one who is not convinced of Michel Suleiman's patriotism?
Am I the only Lebanese left?

Oh happy day

Oh happy day, such joy and jubilation.
We have won; down town was reclaimed, and all is rosy again.
Marcel Ghanem and guests in a vast array of eye blinding colored neck ties; launched the summer “festival of Lebanese prosperity” (replacing the launching of Lebanon festival which was due to take place on the stairs of Gemayzeh on the 13th of May under the patronage of Sarkiss and Allouch [Fuck them both] ).

Such an ugly display of irrelevance and an uncalled display of jubilation, made me realize how deeply fucked up Lebanon was. The notion of “commerçant par excellence ” was tonight poking me in the eye. Interviews were conducted, and the people spoke (they sang as well)!
To say what? That their main concern was to get by and hope for better days to come? To accept what was imposed (yet again) and use the excuse of “a lesser of two evils”?

To all those “one night revelers”, take heed, for come one day your children will hold you accountable for the path you have carved for them.

TFEH!

Hey there Khadija

People of Lebanon rejoice !!!

The bodies of the 100 dead in the 6 days war have not begun to decompose and the Lebanese are already on the streets rejoicing and decorating the streets with oversized pictures of the soon to be president.
To those I say rejoice now, for it will be short lived. Soon enough you will be (secretly) spitting on those posters you are putting up.
It did not come as a surprise to any Lebanese that the day Syria and Israel become close to constructive peace talks, the Lebanese stalemate was over.
Amazing how Lebanese memory is very selective and short. The Cedar Revolution and those who gave their lives for it have been abandoned.
People of Lebanon TFEH!!!!

Allah yir7ham Lebnan wa yir7ham trabo !

Tfeh 3ala "kilab al Doha"!!!!!!!

Tomorrow Lebanon will witness the begining of Syrian hegemony part II (the revenge). Prepare yourselves my fellow Lebanese for darker days to come.
Hizbullah has guided us through yet another "Divine Vicotry" and M14'rs are still looking for BALLS !

Commiserations to the few Lebanese left.
