Talk about freeing a murderer one year my senior has been hailed by some fellow Lebanese as yet another “Divine Victory”. Yes I am talking about the “hero” Samir Kuntar and his soon to be “shameless” release. Without a doubt our “Divine”/spiritual/ resistance/ leader will take credit for his safe return bombarding us with notions of how Samir was and still is the epitome of Hizbollah’s fight against the Zionist evil. On that ill fated day(and I do pray that it will never come) many of my fellow Lebanese (so called) will beat their chests in stupor in between speech poses delivered by the only patriotic leader (Hassouna that is).
To those FUCKS I would like to point out that Samir was never part of Hizbollah when he and 3 others (Abdel Majid Asslan, Mhanna Salim Al Muayed, Mohammad Al Abras) took it upon themselves to attack NAHARIYA in Israel in an operation they called “Nasser”. This operation was commissioned by the PLF (Palestinian Liberation Front) under the leadership of Abou Abbass (does Achille Lauro ring a bell to any one?).
After having killed a policeman who came across their way (that might be justified by some as part of a military operation) they split in two groups and the Hero to be, entered the apartment of the “Zionist” Dany Haran with intent to kill. The “soon to be hailed hero” took Dany and his daughter Einat (mother “Smadar”, other daughter “Yael” and a neighbor managed to hide) to the beach (and not for a picnic I can assure you). The “would be hero” shot Dany a close range and drowned him in the sea (to make sure he was dead, after all he is a thorough person) in front of his daughter (4 years of age, may I remind you), and then turned his rage (sorry Divine mission) against the child. He then started bashing her head with the butt of his riffle, and when need be using rocks to finish her off. This “so called hero” did not flinch.
The other tragedy is that while hiding, the mother (Smadar) in an attempt to muffle the sounds and moans of her 2 years old daughter (Yael) had suffocated her own child.
To cut a long story short, the only survivors of this “heroic adventures” (from the LEBANESE side) were Kuntar and his fellow “1/2 hero” Ahmad Al Abrass, who was later freed by Israel in the Ahmad Jibril prisoner exchange of May 1985.
Attempts were made by the PLF to free Kuntar when they hijacked the Achille Lauro where a wheel chair bound “Zionist” (Leon Klinghoffer) was murdered with no avail.
“The LEBANESE hero” Samir has admitted the murder of Dany and, yes wait for it, Einat; and was sentenced to spent the rest of his life in jail. Some “Zionists” even asked for the death penalty to be reinstated in this case.
Rumor has it that “Kuntar”, the Hezb newfound hero, will be released by the end of the month in exchange for the 2 (Goldwasser and Regev) DEAD soldiers that our Divine protector (Hasouna that is) took in 2006 causing the destruction of MY country.
How can any HUMAN rejoice and embrace the return of a cold blooded criminal and give him a hero’s welcome?
If ever Kuntar will be freed and delivered to the Lebanese (not the Hizb) authority, he should be tied for having killed an innocent child, and such a crime in Lebanon (the one I know) holds the death penalty.
To those who will rejoice for the return of such an evil incarnate, I say TFEH!!!!!!!!!!!!

Will history come back and bite me in the ass?
‘’Le désespoir de la jeunesse ‘’ was the title of a text posted on one of the blogs I frequent daily. The previous one on the same blog was labeled 1966, and both texts had touched a sensitive nerve. Little did I know that my son on his weekly visit will unintentionally add fuel to the fire!
When the war started I had just turned 12, and was in the process of discovering the effects of what is recognized as the weaker sex (for those who are foreign to this notion, women that is). I was infatuated with a classmate called Michelle H (blonde with green eyes) I spent most of my allowance buying her candy and chewing gum from “Cubitus” (the snack opposite the Lycee), and trying to let her allow me to walk her back home (Badaro) after school. Notes were exchanged in class during lectures, some were intercepted by teachers and I had to suffer the consequences for my actions.
Yesterday, when my son came over; he brought with him (In his jeans pocket) a note he received from a girl in his class in which she is declaring her love to him.
My son is about to turn 12; this brought back memories. Lebanon’s history has a knack of repeating itself, and this when I started to get worried. Memories came rushing in, memories of my first infatuation and what followed. 15 years of civil war, demarcation lines, unfounded prejudices, death, destruction, fanaticism, and most of all a lost childhood.
Yesterday I could not sleep. I started remembering how it all began and how I was catapulted into this cesspool of hatred, all that I have lost, and what I had to go through (and inflict onto others) before I came to my senses.
My son will turn 12 in October, I turned 12 a month before all hell broke loose; I hope and pray that Tarek (my son) will not have to make the same mistakes that I did for all the wrong reasons.
But then again this is Lebanon, and in this land of ours, history always comes back to bite you in the ass.
I will not sit idle and let my son go through the hell I have lived; the hell I am still trying to come to terms with. But I will not teach my son to turn the other cheek. I just pray and hope that Tarek will have the worries of any typical teenager, nothing more, nothing less!

Back in time; lessons never learned!
Below is a text I wrote on the 18th of December 2006, in the hope for better days.
In retrospect; this same SHIT still applies.
"Peine perdue", us Lebanese truly deserve the 65 years of " FALSE independence", for we are not worthy of this biblical (yes biblical) land of ours. This land that was created by God (call him Allah,Lord Ja,Jehova,...etc) as a safe heaven for all persecuted people; you tried to claim it your own, and your own only. This land is mentioned in most of the scriptures, and what have you done to it?
Fuck you all, for having tarnished this earthly piece of heaven.
" Stop the hypocrisy. We Lebanese have reached the point of no return. No I am not professing the “Lebanese Forces” old ideology of “Canton”, nor the notion of “Koumat Arabia”. The scars of 15 years of civil war run too deep within our veins. The bigotry is deeply rooted, so is the lack of tolerance. No matter how hard our leaders try to pretend that they have turned the page and made do with their bloody past; we Lebanese cannot forget.
I know I won’t.
I hold no respect for ALL those who stand behind bullet proof glass and spit out speeches engulfing those feeble minded people in a state of false frenzy.
Here I am trying to share my frustration, insanity, anger; whilst sipping my drink and listening to music.
A majority might call me decadent, a fruit of the debauched west; and the rest might label me a long lost hippie who does not fit the cause’s profile.
Some might use religion to prove the evil within me, and how people like me are the root of all evil and what is wrong with our country.
To all those people I hold no ill feelings, I embrace their way of thinking; but I don’t agree with it. I do not agree with the complacency they have shown throughout the years of struggle and strife (and many more to come).
Every single Lebanese has his own fears, that he does not even entertain within his own privacy.
Every single Lebanese is waiting for someone (any idiot will do) to speak his mind and voice his concerns.
Lebanese wake up and smell the cyanide! Your country has been sold short and to the lowest bidder.
What happened to our culture and heritage? Have we truly become nothing but people moved by feudal landlords fighting for a bigger chunk of the so called Lebanese pie? Or have we traded our culture for that of Haifa, Nancy, Star Academy, and a downtown worthy of the Red Light District in Amsterdam?
To those of you who had their adolescence stolen from them in the mid seventies, reminisce and remember how Lebanon was; even during the war. Think about all the sacrifices you made, and those you had to make. Don’t let them go in vain.
Think about the friends, acquaintances who did not make it and those who are still missing; don’t betray the promise you once made to yourselves.
Stand up and reclaim your Lebanese identity!"
N.B: Bashar is coming to see Suleiman (our newly APPOINTED president) next month.
178000 dead and over 18000 missing are pissing on us.
Tfeh!
